Splendor In the Garden

I visited the International Rose Garden in Portland Oregon a few years ago, with their huge numbers and kinds of roses.   I was awed by the many varieties and sheer width and depth of the garden.  While their rose selection  can’t compare to Portland’s gardens,  I’m grateful I live so close to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.   In every season there are flowers somewhere on the grounds or in the buildings.

Yesterday, I enjoyed the roses.    Jesus must have loved flowers too.  He pointed to the flowers and their beauty, as he taught “Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.”    Luke 12:27.

The gift of creation and its splendor are some of God’s gifts to us.   May you take time, to enjoy the flowers, God has planted in your world.
