Tulip Time In the Northland

Kings of the earth and all nations,
    you princes and all rulers on earth,
 young men and women,
    old men and children.

  Let them praise the name of the Lord,
    for God’s name alone is exalted;
    God splendor is above the earth and the heavens. Psalm 148:11-13

Some of God’s splendor is alive in this season, as we enjoy God’s good gifts of creation.

I think God gave up tulips to remind us that after a long winter, there is still beauty and goodness in our world. In spite of grief, sorrow, losses and chaos, there are healing spaces and joy to be found.
